Jesus is on top. The people want to fight, but here Jesus is all over the place

The Holy Church reads the Gospel according to Ivan. Chapter 12, Art. 1-18.

12.1. Six days before the High Day Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus died, whom He raised from the dead.

12.2. There they prepared Yoma's supper, and Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those who lay with Him.

12.3. Mary, having taken a pound of pure spikenard and precious light, anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped Yogo’s feet with her hair; And the house is filled with aroma in the light.

12.4. One of Yogo’s students, Yuda Simonov Iscariot, wanted to please Yogo by saying:

12.5. Why not sell this ointment for three hundred denarii and give it to the wives?

12.6. Having said this, not to the one about foals, but to the one who was a villain. He had with him a penny worth of junk and was wearing what was put in there.

12.7. And Jesus said: Deprive them; She saved it for the day to bury Mogo.

12.8. For you take the poor with you, but do not bring Me back.

12.9. Many of the Jews realized that He was there, and they came not only for Jesus, but also for Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

12.10. The high priests decided to kill Lazarus,

12.11. because for the sake of the new rich people they came and believed in Jesus.

12.12. The next day there were a lot of people who came to celebrate the holy day, sensing that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem,

12.13. They took the palm fronds, came out to Yoma and chanted: Hosanna! Blessed, that I will come to the Lord's Name, King of Israel!

12.14. And Jesus, knowing the young donkey, sat on it, as it is written:

12.15. Don't be afraid, daughter of Sionov! oh, your king will come, sitting on the young sky.

12.16. I'm sure I didn't understand anything; Once Jesus had become famous, they realized that this was what was written about Him, and they saved Yoma.

12.17. The people who were with Him before are witnessing that He called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead.

12.18. That's why I'm your people, because I feel like you've done a miracle.

(In. 12, 1-18)

Today, on the day of the Holy Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, the Gospel according to Ivan is read during services.

The next day, after the evening in the house of Lazarus, whom He had resurrected, the Lord went to Jerusalem, so that everything written by the prophets about Him and about the Messiah would be fulfilled.

And people who knew about the miracle of the resurrection of Lazarus, Feeling that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, they took palm fronds, went out to Yoma and chanted: Hosanna! Blessed, that I will come to the Lord's Name, King of Israel!(John 12, 12-13).

The Old Testament speaks of palm fronds as a symbol of joy. Tsars, conquerors and heroes met with them. The Hebrew word "hosanna" means "to lie at once." The word is always understood correctly, most often translated as “praise.”

In the Other and Fourth Books of Kings (2 Kings 14, 4; 2 Kings 6, 26) this word was adopted by people, as they joked about the king’s help and protection. In such a manner, we believe that “hosanna”, that they shouted, did not glorify Christ, as is often offered, but called out to God, so that He would interfere in the course of history and grant salvation to His people.

We believe that people called on Jesus Christ as a means of victory, but, expecting a new release from the feast of Rome, they did not understand that they wanted to escape from sin.

From Bethany to Jerusalem there were two routes: one bypassing the Mount of Olives from today, and the other through the very top of the mountain, which was short, but important and tedious. Palestine had few horses, because previous rulers rode horses, including war. At the time of peace, prices for donkeys went up. In this manner, the entry of the Lord Jesus Christ to Jerusalem on a donkey became a symbol of the world.

The Evangelist John indicates that this was the final prophecy of Zechariah, which sounds like this:

Rejoice with joy, daughter of Zion, holy day, daughter of Jerusalem: your king will come to you, righteous and revolting, honorable, who sits on a donkey and the colt of a donkey under the yoke.(Zech. 9, 9)

The Lord enters Jerusalem as a young man, extorting special respect from both his followers and his enemies.

St. John Chrysostom writes: “For all their kings were more unjust and cowardly, they brought joy to their enemies, they unsettled the people and subjugated them to their enemies, so they say: do not fight; Tsei (Tsar) is not like that, but kind and gentle. Not in great exodus, in death, but in the pain of one donkey for Himself.”

Jesus is Himself the Messiah, the Savior of mankind. The Jews were looking at New people not for their spiritual wealth, but for their earthly ones.

How often do we, dear brothers and sisters, place our hope in God for earthly well-being, forgetting that His Kingdom is not in this world. Let us remember that the Lord is ready to generously endow us with spiritual wealth. It is imperative for us to receive the grace of God in our hearts, purifying them with ceaseless practice.

May the Lord help us further!

(The transition to the twelve is holy. Every day in the week that marks the Great Day)

All the gospels talk about the Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem a few days before His Lordship. Matviy(Matt. 21:7-11), Mark(Mark 11:7-10), Luke(Luke 19:36-38) John(Iv. 12:12-15). If, after the miraculous resurrection of Lazarus, Jesus Christ, six days before the Holy Day, decided to go to Jerusalem for this holy day, then a lot of people with a joyful feeling followed Jesus, ready to accompany Him to the purity that has long been And the clock at the Gathering accompanied the kings. The chief priests of the Jews, angry at Jesus for having awakened an unexpected mischief among the people, decided to kill Jesus, as well as Lazarus, “for the sake of the rich Jews who came and believed in Jesus.”

But it became unsatisfactory for them: The blind people who came to the holy day, sensing that Jesus was going to Jerusalem, took palm fronds, went out to Yoma and vibrated: "Hosanna! Blessed be the One who will come to the Name of the Lord, the King of Israel! They laid out their clothes richly, cut leaves from palm trees and threw them on the road, the children hovered over Messiah. Having believed in the powerful and kind Teacher, the simple-hearted people were ready to recognize in New the King who would come to deliver him.

The Gospels go on to say: “When Jesus knew a young donkey, he sat on one, as it is written: “Don’t be afraid, daughter of Sionov! axis, your king will come, sitting on the young tree.". And Jesus entered the temple of God, and drove away those who sell and buy from the temple, and overthrew the tables of moneychangers and lava, who sold pigeons. And speaking before them: It is written: “My little house will be called a house of prayer,” and you killed it with a den of robbers.” All the people were buried in hearing the teachings of the Lord. After that, before Jesus began the blindness and the kulgavy, which they had healed. Then, having deprived Jerusalem, he turned to Bethany.

The Holy Entrance to Jerusalem is also called Tizhnem Vaiy. And in us this is called sacred "Palm Week" , t. to. The fronds are replaced by willow, the fragments of earlier trees are signs of awakening after a long winter of living.

Today is a calm and bright day, which at any time leaves the sad and sorrowful mood of Lent and conveys the joys of the Holy Majesty. At the Holy Entrance of the Lord to Jerusalem, the glory of Christ as the Almighty God, and as the King, the son of David, the Lord, beloved by the people of God, brightly burns. On what day will the Church predict what The Jews who came to the holy day called Jesus as a messiah, as a prophet, as a great wonderworker, because they knew that he had recently resurrected Lazarus. As they grew up, the children sang and triumphed, placed a donkey under the feet, on which Vin rode, his clothes, and shook Yogo with green nails and leaves.

Standing at the church service with willow branches and burning candles is a sign of the holy Entry of the King of Glory into the great suffering. The pleading heavens sharpen invisibly the mighty Lord and melt away, as the victory of the heat of death.

In the evening of the week, liturgical texts commemorate the eve of the Holy Day or the Great Day. Beginning from the evening of Vaiya, all the songs of the Triod of Songs lead us in the footsteps of the Lord as he goes to his free death.

The history of the establishment is holy

The Holy Entry of the Lord to Jerusalem came to Rus' in the 10th century, and was designated by the Christian Church already in the 3rd century. Another name is holy - Palm Sunday, or holy, it reminds us of the palm fronds with which Jesus's bastards of Jerusalem fluttered, who flocked to Yogo. Living with lamps, or in our tradition, goes back to ancient times. St. guesses about this. Ambrose of Mediolansky, John Chrysostom, Kirilo of Oleksandriysky in the 4th century. One can confidently stand at a church service with willow needles consecrated in the church and burning candles in their hands, hearing the invisibly coming Christ.

On the eve of Holy Week, the remaining days of the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of Christ on earth was revealed to us - a kingdom of inability and strength, but of all-powerful love.

The iconography is holy

The young people in Jerusalem are visited by Jesus Christ. He turned around to see His students, who had gone for the donkey. The left hand of Christ has a sacred hand, which symbolizes the sacred text of the commandment, and with the right hand He blesses those who listen.

At the right time, men and women came out of the place. Behind them is Jerusalem. This is a great place, the tall images are crowded. Its architecture indicates that the icon painter is alive in the ancient Russian churches.

The children lay their clothes under the donkey's hoof. Others are the palm leaves. Sometimes, near the lower part of the icon there are two more childish figures written on it. One child sits, with her head slightly raised and her leg slightly raised, over which another little one is sneering, helping him to lift the rolling pin from his feet. This destructive everyday scene, which came from Byzantium, adds vitality to the image, although it does not reduce the pathos of what is happening. Children's clothes are most often white, which symbolizes their spiritual purity and gentleness.

As always for Russian icons, with mastery and sophistication the writing of all adult characters is done. Behind the figure of Christ, a mountain rises from the sky, depicted in traditional symbolic ways.

The entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem is an act of his good will, followed by the atonement of human sins through a great sacrifice, as they open the entrance to a new life for people - the entrance to the New Jerusalem.

Dzherelo: Temple of the Life-Giving Trinity on the Sparrow Hills

Sermon on the Entrance of the Lord to Jerusalem

In the name of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit!

Brothers and sisters! The Holy Trinity consists of two adjoining one to one and evil additional fasts, which represent the different stages of the earthly life of Christ the Savior.

The Holy Day itself was founded by the Church on the riddle of the forty-day fast of Jesus Christ in the Judean desert - a wild, terrible place, near the so-called Mount Spokus.

A passionate day of dedication to the mysteries of the remaining days of earthly life, the eternal suffering and death of the humanity of Jesus Christ. The holy day begins with the Holy Entry of the Lord to Jerusalem.

Why is this promise - the entrance of the Lord to the Holy City - protected by the Church until the great twelve saints? Because it is possible to bear deep spiritual vengeance, it prophetically marks the Coming of Jesus Christ to Earth, the resurrection of the dead and the Last Judgment.

Not long before the sufferings of God, the Lord performed a great miracle - the resurrection from the dead of Lazarus, a resident of the city of Jerusalem - Bethany (Iv. 11: 1-44). It was amazing to see the presence of numerous relatives and friends of the deceased, in the eyes of all Jerusalem. This miracle struck people’s hearts. Jewish manifestations about the Messiah, like only about an earthly king, a great leader, - these earthly manifestations have gone into darkness, the hearts of people filled with hope that the Preacher of love and mercy, Jesus Christ, is the true Messiah I am the same spiritual Vladik.

What brought about the resurrection of Lazarus from the dead? Zagalne Resurrection, Day of the Last Judgment. In Palestine they wanted the deceased to ring on the very day of his death, so that through strong baking the corpse quickly began to unravel. On the fourth day, the corpse of Lazarus, having already consumed human rice, the body became swollen, blackened, and dripping with ichor.

The Resurrection of Lazarus - this was not just his return to life, but his creation again, this is the image of how the Lord raised the bodies of the dead from the dust. Hello, brothers and sisters! Lazar turned to earthly life, having lived for ten years, becoming a bishop and, according to the testimony, accepting the death of a martyr for his faith in Jesus Christ. And the secret resurrection of the dead will not be less of a resurrection, but of the re-creation, spiritualization of human bodies. The resurrection of the dead will become the beginning of eternal life, as there is no end, and will overcome death.

Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to prepare two creatures for Yogo’s entry into Jerusalem—a donkey and a colt. What does this mean? At that time, the kings, in a peaceful hour, lived in these creatures for their trips to the country. Kіn means military assemblies. They rode on horseback during the march. Jesus Christ sat on a young donkey as a sign that He carries Light with Him, that He is the King of Light. The Holy Fathers also seem to say that the donkey symbolically symbolizes the Jewish people, and the young donkey represents the pagan peoples, who bowed their heads under the good yoke of Christ the Savior, accepted Him in honor, and knew Him in their hearts.

The entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem symbolizes, conveys and conveys His coming to earth. First, I slept in the dark and in obscurity, only the night darkness and the sleeplessness of the crowd in Bethlehem of the people of God. And the Friend of the Coming of Jesus Christ will have glory. The Lord will come with angels, shining with Divine light. This ceremony marks the entry of the Lord to Jerusalem, the Lord, honed by the apostles and the people who sing: “Hosanna to Sin of David, glory to Sin of David!”

Brothers and sisters, when the Lord marveled at Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, tears appeared in Yogo’s eyes. What did the Savior cry about? About His place. It is sacredly transmitted to witness that when the flood began, Noah took with him into the ark, like a great shrine, the head of Adam. Then he gave it to his eldest son, Sim. Having thus visited the place of Yopiya, then judged the altar, under which he laid the head of our forefather and nearby the altar, falling asleep in the place of Jerusalem, which means the Light of God. Then Palestine was conquered by the Canaanite tribes, and the place where Adam’s head lay fell into desolation, and in memory the people called the place Golgotha (Jewish - skull, forehead). There, on Golgotha, there will be little light on the right.

The Lord marveled at Jerusalem from the mountains, pouring out the Jerusalem temple, whose gilded baths shone and burned with fire. Alas, the Lord was thinking about how terrible the punishment is that haunts this holy and evil place. With his own eyes, he wants, like half a half, half a payment, to rise above the Temple, to transform the miraculous Temple, which, like a heavenly flower, hung from a split rock, into a bunch of ruins, into a bunch of burnt logs and slop. Then, on the streets of Jerusalem, undisturbed corpses will lie, and the earth itself will be filled with blood, like a plank; This place will turn into ruins, and, dead, it will be like a wheat field, beaten by hail.

Here, in Jerusalem, the greatest feat will take place: great suffering, the crucifixion of Christ and the misery of humanity. And here, in Jerusalem, the most terrible atrocity in the history of mankind is not enough - God's destruction. Therefore the Lord wept behind His place.

Jesus Christ went to the Jerusalem Temple. There is a loud noise here, the screams of people, the sound of creatures that were simply sold at the Temple. The sacrificial creatures were rarely sold white-washed, but for the success of the trade, the high priests allowed them to be introduced into the sanctuary itself. They also stood there, because, according to the Judean name, it was not possible to donate to the temple and buy animals with the pennies of the pagan sovereigns, they had to be exchanged for Judean coins.

Well, there was a terrible noise in the church of God, and the Lord took the whip from His hand and drove out those who sold thinness, and took away His Heavenly Father from the house. Brothers and sisters, in the Gospel we believe that the Lord is angry if He denounces the Pharisees, these hypocrites of religion, and if He desecrates His temple.

Let this serve as a lesson for us: what kind of reverence is required in the Church of Christ! How often we destroy holiness, the silence of this place. And some of us, there are very few of them, but there are also those who are dishonest in the temple and in the heavens, they write about their innocence, they are notorious for their spiritual rudeness. May this gospel message remind us that the temple is an image of the Kingdom of Heaven.

The entry of Jesus Christ into the Temple symbolically means the Last Judgment, which will separate from the Church of God. And the Lord will judge Christians. The life of St. Macarius the Great was inspired by the soul of a dead Egyptian victim. The priest said that he was in hell, but there was a place of even more terrible torment, just as he felt. They are meant for Christians who received the grace of the Holy Spirit in baptism, and then corrected them by their sins.

The chief priests, having turned to Christ, tried to defend Him with their teachings to glorify God. Christ said: If you close the stench, then the stones cry out (Luke 19:40). The Holy Fathers under the stones brought to understanding the pagans, who were destined to glorify God after the preaching of the apostles throughout the world. The Gospel says that little children cried out to Christ: Hosanna! blessed is He who came to the Name of the Lord! (Mark 11:9). In front of children, people who are simple and pure in heart show respect. The Lord accepts only the praise that is offered in a pure soul.

This is what we call today in the church with willows in our hands. The people heard Jesus Christ with palm leaves, like Peremozhets. The willow also means the resurrection from the dead: it blossoms after the winter and leaves other trees.

Holding a willow tree in our hands, we confirm that Jesus Christ is the true overcomer of death, which burned the demon. With these in our hands, we ask the Lord to grant us the opportunity to follow Him not in waste and waste, but with joy and triumph on the day of the resurrection of the dead.

"Hosanna!"- tse means: “The Lord is coming!”, “Various before the Lord”, “Lord, save us!” Brothers and sisters, on this holy day the Lord is invisibly approaching us, to our hearts.

Brothers and sisters! And in our hearts, as in the Jerusalem temple, the cries of creatures are our lowly passions, which drown out the voice of prayer; And in our souls they were changing coins - these were the promises that the sacred figure would tempt us to think about worldly benefits, about worldly and vain affairs.

The Lord scourged those who desecrated His temple with His scourge. Do not let the scourge of Your grace cleanse our hearts, for the stench of the miraculous temple created by Him and created only for Him.

Amen.

God's Law. Entry of the Lord to Jerusalem. Palm week

The Entry of the Lord to Jerusalem is one of the 12 twelve (head) saints of Orthodoxy. This past is holy, exactly one week before Christ's Resurrection.

What do we celebrate during Palm Week?

The Entry of the Lord to Jerusalem descriptions of all the events by the evangelists. He is confirmed by Matthew (in the 21st section of his Gospel), and Mark (in the 11th section), and Luke (in 19), and John (in the 12th section).

Thus, in the Gospel of Matthew (21:1-7) it is said that the apostles, following the message of Jesus, took a donkey and a donkey from Bethany. John the Theologian in his Gospel simply states that Christ, having known a young donkey, sat on the new one.

The Gospels of Mark and Luke say that Jesus, approaching Jerusalem and staying near the Mount of Oleon near Bethphage and Bethany, sent two disciples after a young donkey, indicating that they were not bound And what do you know about how to sleep? And so it happened. The scientists found the creature, tied it up, and asked “What do you know?” They confirmed that the donkey was needed by the Lord, and they brought it to Jesus.

So, finally, Jesus Christ went to Jerusalem. The Jews had an old saying that when rulers gained victory over their enemies, they rode to their destination on horses and donkeys. And also at the Gathering, the entry into the city was a symbol of peace, and riding on horseback was a symbol of war.

At that time, the Jews were buried by the Romans, and the Jews were honoring the holy scriptures and the prophets of the deliverer in the face of foreign martyrdom. They believed that the Messiah – the Savior of Israel – would appear on the Great Day. They called Jesus Christ as the Messiah, because they knew about the miracle of the resurrection of Lazarus, who was killed before.

They greeted Him like a Tsar, following this long-standing tradition, with palm fronds and quilts, laying their clothes on His path.

The stench cried out to Christ: “Hosanna* to the Sin of David! Blessed is He Who will come to the Name of the Lord (to whom is the yearly praise, from the God of messages) King of Israel! Hosanna at the Cherries!

Concluding the prophecies of the Old Testament, Christ himself, in such a staunch manner, came to Jerusalem, and not as the King of the earth, who would prevail in the war. And as a King, a kingdom that is not in this world, as it overcomes sin and death. The gate, through which, behind the crossings, having entered Jesus, is still visible. Only a lot of people are already tightly walled up, and behind the words of their obscuration, another coming of Christ to earth will be expected.

This gate was then called Sheep Sometimes they are called the Gate of the Blessed Virgin Mary (today's Left Gate). The Christian tradition has the gate of St. Stefan. In ancient times, sheep were driven through the Sheep Gate to be washed before sacrifices..

On the very same wall of the building, the Virgin Mary was born. On which road and in the same place, white as the Sheep's Bram, was the pool of Bethesda located. Here then lay the sick, the blind, the wizened, the withered, waiting for the flow of water to come out from the depths of the kissing warehouses. Christ supposedly, straight from Galilee to Jerusalem, killed the people here because he was ill for 38 years. I immediately cooled down. Today, after excavations, you can collect the surplus of this sporuda - the legendary bathhouse.

In Jerusalem there is a different gate, for example Vessels.
Here the wall between the places ended and the wall passed.

The praetor's servant reached this point, having escorted the man condemned to death. Here they hung on a new virok, which could no longer bear shame. Then the condemned man was led to the place of passion - Golgotha. As excavations have shown, it is 70 km to Golgotha. Above these gates there is now a temple of the Russian Church - St. Alexander Nevsky. The sacred threshold is covered with a cursed top, and a crucifix hangs over it.

What else should we call the holy “Entry of the Lord to Jerusalem”?

The remaining week before the Great Day is also called “Tyzhny Vai” - “vai” in Greek means “palm palms”.

The Latin name is holy - Dominica in palmis (Palm week, literally: “The Lord's day in the palm trees”). In current European languages, the very name “Palmova” is used today, for example, in English - Palm Sunday.

In Russian liturgical books it is also called the Tyzhdny Kvitkonosniy (since Christ was celebrated in Jerusalem with kvitas), and in common parlance - Palm Week. Therefore, in Slovenian countries, palm gills are replaced with willow gills (and willow and willow). These plants are among the first to bloom in Russia.

How do Orthodox Christians celebrate Palm Sunday?

The willow will be blessed in churches the day before, on Saturday evening (12th April 2014) on the All-Nights: after reading the Gospel, the 50th Psalm is read, then holy water is sprinkled on the nails. After which they are distributed to those who pray, and the paraphions stand until the end of the service with willow and lighted candles. Call for the sprinkling to be repeated during Palm Sunday itself at the Liturgy (the Liturgy of St. John the Golden Toast).

Tradition is sacred

In the pre-Petrine era, Palm Week celebrated the patriarch's departure "on a donkey" (a white horse saddled with a donkey; symbolizing the entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem). The Patriarch distributed willow leaves and fern leaves (instead of palm fronds) from Lobnoye to the Tsars, bishops, boyars, okolnichy, Duma officials and people.

Orthodox Christians may wish to preserve the consecrated willows with a strong hand and decorate the icons with them. In some localities, there is a pious call to place consecrated willows in the hands of the dead as a sign that through faith in Christ they will overcome death, rise again and bring the Savior from death.

Lessons from the saint

Christ did not come to solve their problems for people Let us not forget the life and death of a nation overrun by occupiers, as was the case with the Israeli people. The economic crisis, the corruption of the state apparatus, the lack of development of large-scale initiatives, the unfair distribution of goods, the decline of morality and culture, high mortality and low population density - these are all human events, these are the things that people stand for before God. There will be heaven on earth, let alone the land with its great Christian history, there will never be a God.

Christians must remember that Christ proclaims His Kingdom and insists that there is only a Ruler and a King, His kingdom is “not seen by this world,” but it is neither rich nor small—the Kingdom of God. A kingdom where the bond between man and God has been renewed, where evil has been eradicated, where life has been renewed and happiness has been restored. Christ taught his followers that entry into His Kingdom was possible only by faith. By showing the place and the price of power, sovereignty and every human being. The kingdoms of the world were destined to be, and it was impossible to live only in heaven, unless everything was the soil on which the growth could grow. The land can be corrupted or good, the powers can be slaughtered, but the living growth is not the soil, the Kingdom of God is not a marriage and it is no longer a power. The order of people in the face of sin could revive the edge of the Roman Empire among the occupied people, and then, for the needs of Russia, the 21st century could be demanded. Abi bula faith, faith as a special trust in Christ, and faith as a special commitment to trustworthy people.

Golovny, what is sacred to say to Christians - the Entry of the Lord to Jerusalem - these are those who cannot find the true faith in Christ and pass it on to others, weary of the everyday life of only the earthly kingdom, trying to realize their power interests, be they the interests of the state, the nation. marriage and family.

We magnify You, / Life-giving Christ, / Hosanna among the cherries, / And we shout to You: // Blessed is He who comes in the Lord’s name.

Five days before the Holy Great Day, a week later, Jesus Christ went to the villages of Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Oleon at the same time with their teachings and instructed two of them to bring a young donkey, which no one had ever seen. giving When they issued the order, Christ mounted a donkey and began to descend from the mountains to Jerusalem under the vital hooves of the scholars and the people, who had listened to Christ, laying down his clothes and cutting the branches from the trees on his path, joyfully in Igukuyuchi: “Hosanna to Sin of David! Blessed be the One who comes to the Name of the Lord! Hosanna at the Cherries!

I brought Jesus to Jerusalem. “The whole place began to collapse and said: who is this? And the people said: This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee” (Gospel of Matthew. 21:10-11).

Christ ascended to the temple of God, driving away those who sell, overthrowing the tables of moneychangers and the lava of selling pigeons. Christ said to the exchangers: “It is written: “My house shall be called a house of prayer,” but you have killed it as a den of robbers.” The people from the buried rumors of the honor of the Lord. After that, the blind people and the kulgavis came to Jesus, and they were saved.

In front of Verbny, at the week-long school, among adults, the following, for example, are conducted:

- Well, why was Jesus convicted and punished?

- Yak for what. Let’s read the axis of the Gospel. For those who did not give justice to the Judean people: they thought that the Messiah would ride on horseback, on a horse, and lead everyone to war against Rome, and Vin would ride on a donkey like a pea... About So, before speaking, all the priests preach and write in books. The Jews wanted a holy war, but Win brought peace.

Priest Sergius Kruglov, photo by Ganni Galperina

Well, this image at the Gathering at that time was both traditional and familiar: riding on a horse is a symbol of war, riding on a horse is a symbol of light. To marvel, in the Gospel no one is particularly surprised that He is on a donkey, and is not overwhelmed, one cannot guess about it, which means that the way people read it is true, they understand the Messiah, as it was realized... which is to say: “Say This is the daughter of Zion: “Axis, King Yours will come to you, dear one, sitting on a donkey and a young donkey, a son under the shoulder."

The scholars went and did as Jesus had commanded them: they brought a donkey and a colt and put their clothes on them, and He sat on top of them. And the innocent people laid out their clothes on the road, and others cut gilts from trees and laid them on the road; the people who were in front and accompanied Yogo, shouted: “Hosanna to Sin of David! Blessed be the One who comes to the Name of the Lord! Hosanna at the Cherries! (Mt. 21:1-9). So, you think, you were punished for peace?

Zvichaino.

“And I’m thinking: it’s clear that in every nation there will always be people who want war, heroic deeds and the like, at that time there were patriots-sicarians-zealots in Israel...

Ale statistically average, so to speak, human being, the primary inhabitant, always gives precedence to the world. Yak vi chi me. For all hours and for all future formations.

City, prosperity, local wise order, salaries and pensions are higher, and taxes are lower, the frequency of illness and disasters, the availability of tomorrow and stability, so that children are not forced by “Vantage-200” from the war to the revolution and there were no riots, so you can live long And happily and die, probably, without torment and sleep, and before death, with the end of life, there was no doubt about what to do with me, not in any way... Not living, in a word, but a song. How bad is it? So the people are more willing to accept the Messiah, who brings light, not on a war horse, but on a donkey, I think.

What age did the Jews begin to value gold? The great and glorious King David, the prophet and the pioneering field commander, prepared for the unhealed battles! Even in the golden age, the period of the reign of Solomon’s son, King Shlomo, is still respected, which literally means “non-war” and the same word as “shalom”, the period, if they did not fight, but traded, there was a great Jerusalem temple, The people made peace with Egypt, great grace reigned everywhere, all the cities were in power, and “in gold, as Solomon’s eye came, there were six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold” (1 Kings 10:14).

Well, you still think so: the people want to fight and beat the enemy, and here is Jesus on a donkey all white, laughing at everyone, both ours and yours, and saying: “Well, what are you doing!” Dog, love, no war! Not exactly the Messiah, but some hippie from Woodstock.

Oh... What am I thinking?.. But I don’t know what to think anymore, you’ve just fooled me... Well, what do you think, why did we win the war?

- Not at all. War is evil. There is a light... And such a light, which is the most terrible for the world during the war. To the sun-burnt light - the light of the cob, God... Which invades this world and everything that was lying there has risen, all the numerous foundations have fallen, the creaks and outer stones are turning over. After entering Jerusalem, where do you go?

- So... At the temple, turn over the tables, drive away the merchants, create a scandal...

Paul Gustave Dorie. Christ drives the merchants out of the temple

- Just like that. Together with the King, His Kingdom passed away, and for the weary, the message to Israel about peace and goodness appeared not as light, but as a sword... A sword that destroyed the order of life and the worldview of religious, decent people who had grown up over the centuries, oh live, it stinks They respected, mostly righteously, the statute of the One God...

And instead of “increasing satisfaction with the needs of the faithful”, instead of the blessed love of Father’s trumpets and all sorts of Father’s retellings, the greatest revolution and peace of mind. Through Christ, through His word and revelations - everything that Israel has gained for centuries with back-breaking labor has become beyond doubt, all values and creaks are below doubt... In short, the situation is strained to the maximum. Around the ridge, everything could not end.

- And the stones were roaring... You know, I can already feel it, I’m experiencing the axis of this word, about the stone... The stones, and even the stinks, are still howling.

- Yak tse?

- And so... From what I hear: as a human being lives, all sorts of toxins, which have become clay, are deposited in them after a long life. They lay down, turn onto the sand, then onto the stone - at the ridge, at the ravine, at the chewing fur there, at the sechovy.

The doctor begins to heal, to take care of the treasures - and the stones begin to be thrown: “Don’t dig! It hurts! The body has tolerated us, we’re still drinking! Unbearable!...” And the doctor said: “You need to, otherwise, if you don’t wake up, your body will die.”

So all our stories, great and small sins, licorice addictions, truths, twists, private and huge ones, are laid in us like stones, in the mind, in the conscience, in the heart... Before we have endured, we seem to live, for the life of us - peace. And Christ comes - and the stones begin to spin and wobble there in the middle. Like, we know who you are, the Holy One of God, who came here to torment, crush and lead us out! , and the view is brought to people, to life, to oneself, that everything that is not formal, but in a practical way, follows the Gospel in life, everything is given so important.

- So. Ale y understand: and without whom death was born. There will be no love, no joy, no life of any kind, as Christ will no longer wrap and remove our stone from us.

- So - they started screaming, and don’t stop screaming!

- Hai! Before the speech, are you going to bless the willows?

- What about it!

...Those are the same, well, they are approximately the same.

Blessed are you, the original provincial week-long school, which does not bother anyone to go to, and the inclusion of any life bonuses does not give, but in the yak of people, even if they are not particularly rich - this is not the first time. The claimants are more drawn to the paraffians, so leave it at that and parishioners to hang out and talk, to hear and read, and think, exchange words about faith, Christ, the Church and the power of life, and again greedily talk and think about such speeches...

Not far away, then, is a small school, overlooking the Kingdom of God.

The sight of the Tsar, whom you see today, floating in the temple on the All-Night Day, with willows in his hands, and at the same time laughing and shouting like a child when sprinkling: “Father, and on us!... And on us!...”
